Ella's Nursery!!

Today is show us your children's rooms on Kelly's Korner.

First off... meet our precious baby girl, Ella Yvonne.
This is her picture at 18 weeks. She is now 33 weeks and 5 days!

Welcome to her room...

Her bedding came from polkatotdesigns.com.
Her Memere and Pepere (my parents) bought it for her.. what a blessing!

I found her crib on Craigs List. It's a solid wood Ragazzi crib.
It came in an antiqued white, but was still too creamy for the rest of her furniture, so my wonderful husband painted it white for me. =)

Above her bed is the bird that flew above my crib when I was a baby.
You pull the string and it flies... see video below =)

The sign above her bed came from one of my best friends, Dorinda.
It says "Always Kiss Me Goodnight."
We painted a green square behind it to bring in some more color to the room.

This is an antique rocking chair (also found on Craigs List).
My wonderful husband also painted it for me, and my wonderful mother and grandmother found a pillow sham that matched her colors and created this wonderful seat cover! Ella's teddy bear came with the bedding set.

The chest of drawers came from our guest room.
I had to make room for my elliptical machine in there, so it worked out!

The pink kitty is a fan (it's wonderful!) and was given to Ella from
her Nana and PaPa (Matt's parents). The fan was originally bronze color, but we had to go girly with it! My wonderful husband also painted that for me. =)
The piggy bank is the MudPie brand and was given to her by her Gran-Memere (my grandmother). The candle I found at Hobby Lobby, and the "E" wall art
was clearance at Marshall's...what a find!

The ELLA letters were a shower decoration made by my sis-n-law, Courtney.

This lamp came from Marshall's and the ribbon came from Hobby Lobby.
The flowers are in an antique baby formula measuring glass.

Her iron changing table was also a Craigs List find.
These baskets came from Marshall's,
and the ribbon came from Hobby Lobby.

I'm using an old sewing drawer for her changing table.
I replaced the old rusty handle with a girly pink knob.

This is an antique coal bin with iron feet and handles.
I found it in Waxahachie (already this color... my husband was glad!)
This will be her diaper/trash can.

Her "Ella" hooks behind her door are for her bath towels.

This little wooden bench came from my grandparents' house.
They had it for a very long time, and it's fun to have something so special!
They bought it for us when we were little and now it's being used for our kids!
It was worn and weathered and needed some lovin'. Matt tightened it up and painted it to match her furniture... he sure is a terrific husband!
The kitty came from Ella's Nana and PaPa and has her name embroidered.

Below is her "take-me-home" outfit... just waiting her arrival!
Thanks to my Memere for such a beautiful gift!

So my shower was last weekend and this is what our living room still looks like...
These things are the swing, bouncer, portacrib... all of which somewhat have to be put together, so that's why they still sit here. =) My first focus was putting her clothes and such away, and Matt has been busy working those Ranger playoff games...
GO RANGERS!

Below are a few pictures from my shower...
Boy, has God blessed us with such wonderful, generous family and friends!
I'm still amazed by all the wonderful gifts (and YUMMY food)!
Thanks to everyone for coming!
