Go Green Knight!

If you can't tell, we went to Medieval Times this weekend for Derek's bday. Matt and I had both been when we were younger, but it was fun to go again. We had a fun time. I really enjoyed the horses the most. They were so talented! I begged Matt for a horse all night long. =)

Welcome to our new blog!

It seems everyone else has one these days, so we figured we join the bandwagon! Thanks for stopping by!

It's been a busy past few months. In June, we had two new additions to the Pelletier Family. Our neice, Kaitlin, and our nephew, Isaac, were born just 13 hours apart. They have been lots of fun! They are both very sweet and too cute for words! We love them both! Matt can't wait til their old enough to actually play games with. =)

At the end of August, we had an addition to the Throne family. Little Owen Roy was born on Aug. 28th. Unfortunately, we had to wait two weeks to meet him, but he was worth the wait! He's such a handsome little guy! And yes, Matt actually held a baby...there is proof. =)

Over Labor Day weekend we went to Boston to visit family. It was Matt's first time to meet my dad's side of the family. We had a great time visiting with everyone! Matt felt like he was in another country up there. =) We also went Candlepin bowling (see pic of my dad below). It's something only found up there. You have a little ball and the pins are very skinny. We had a good time.

Upon returning from our trip to Boston, we lost three of our fish in our pond. We had difficulty finding a sitter for the dogs; therefore, we had probs keeping our fishies alive. While we were gone the pond got down real low and our three big expensive gold fish died. I was quite sad. With all this happening I really got to thinking about how we seem so far from every one we know. We are at least 20-30 mins or more from family, friends, and work for both of us. It makes it hard. We love our house, but we just started thinking about moving to the H-E-B area. So one day, I casually started looking at houses.. not really being very serious.. but then I found one I liked and it started us off on the track of a new home. We then listed ours (for sale by owner). So right now, we are trying to sell our house. In the mean time, we found a house we really liked, but couldn't resist. We just made an offer on a home in Hurst. Now we just have to hope ours sells soon! We love the home and the area. We have been praying hard! I've felt a peace through it all, and we believe God will provide for us. We appreciate everyone keeping us in your prayers with all this! Also, if you know of anyone looking for a home in Arlington, send them our way!

On September 25th, Matt's grandmother, Flo Throne, passed away after battling lung cancer. She was diagnosed with cancer about two months prior, and since had spent time in and out of the hospital and different rehab/nursing centers. She was a wonderful lady that love her family and loved bingo! She will be missed greatly. It's definitely been an emotional time for all of us, but it's been especially hard on his dad. Since she was diagnosed, he has taken many many work days off to be in Stephenville with her and to help take care of her. He's been really strong through all this and we all admire him for it!

Flo was born in Thurber on Jan. 15, 1930, to Earl F. and Julia Freeman. She married Carl Junior Throne in Eastland on March 6, 1947, and he preceded her in death in 2000. She was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Ranger. Flo worked for over 30 years as an insurance auditor with Employers Casualty Ins. Co. in Dallas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl; brothers, Willard Freeman and Edward Freeman and sisters, Odessa Roberson and Willie Joyner.Flo is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jack and Lauren Throne of Iredell; sister, Betty Ryan of Weatherford; two grandsons, Andrew and wife, Angela Throne of College Station and Matthew and wife, Lauren Throne of Arlington; and a great-grandson, Owen Throne.

Well, I guess that covers everything! Check back soon for more updates!
